Founder & Principal, Greene Developers

Born and raised in the Bronx, Kevin Shabazz is a visionary real estate developer and the driving force behind Greene Developers, a pioneering company dedicated to sustainable land investment and transformative master-planned communities. With an innovative approach, Greene Developers acquires vacant land and revitalizes it as essential community assets. Kevin’s projects prioritize affordable and workforce housing, hospitality, green spaces, and partnerships with local businesses and non-profits, often collaborating closely with municipalities to address community needs.

An alumnus of Norfolk State University with a degree in Entrepreneur Studies, Kevin’s expertise is enhanced by his active involvement in key industry organizations. He serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the National Multifamily Housing Council’s Advisory Committee, and the Urban Green Council’s Monthly Program Committee, underscoring his commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in development. Kevin also leads the New Leadership Academy as President, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on community development.

Having grown up in subsidized housing, Kevin is a passionate advocate for diversity in real estate, dedicated to empowering marginalized and underserved communities. Through partnerships with CUNY, Lehman College, and other institutions, Greene Developers offers a paid, hands-on internship program that equips students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, with essential skills in land investment and development. Kevin’s mission is to inspire and prepare future leaders to build generational wealth and foster lasting, positive change in their communities.
